Salamiah Hassan @ No Black Tie
She still has it and I was impressed.
The voice of so many jingles mesmerised me again with her effortless singing style. She is not an entertainer in the mould of a fly by night bright star, in the style of so many produced by the current reality show avalanche. She is also a product of a talent search contest albeit in the more enduring, evergreen variety.
She is in her 50s definitely but her vocal range and renditions from the heart would put the younger singers with their pyrotechnics and five minutes of fame to shame. Yes, the one and only Salamiah Hassan performed at No Black Tie on 17 and 18 April 2009, and I was there.
What bliss.
